הִזְהִיר הַשּׁוֹפֵט שֶּׁלֹא לִשְׁמוֹעַ אֶחָד מִבַּעֲלֵי הַדִּין שֶּׁלֹא בִּפְנֵי בַּעַל דִּינוֹ וְהוּא אָמְרוֹ ''לֹא תִשָּׂא שֵׁמַע שָׁוְא'' שֶׁבְּרוֹב יִהְיוּ בַּעֲלֵי דִּין שֶּׁלֹא בִּפְנֵי בַּעַל דִּינָם וְהִזְהִיר הַשּׁוֹפֵט מִשְּׁמוֹעַ אוֹתָם הַדְּבָרִים כְּדֵי שֶּׁלֹא תִּכָּנֵס לְנַפְשׁוֹ צוּרַת הַדְּבָרִים אֵין יוֹשֶׁר לָהֶם וְלֹא אֲמִתּוּת וּלְשׁוֹן מְכִילְתָּא ''לֹא תִשָּׂא _ _ _ שָׁוְא'' אַזְהָרָה לַדַּיָּין שֶּׁלֹא יִשְׁמַע מִבַּעַל דִּין עַד שֶׁיִּהְיֶה בַּעַל דִּינוֹ בְּפָנָיו וְאַזְהָרָה לְבַעַל דִּין שֶּׁלֹא יַשְׁמִיעַ דְּבָרָיו לַדַּיָּין עַד שֶׁיִּהְיֶה חֲבֵירוֹ עִמּוֹ וּלְהַזְהִיר מִזֶּה הָעִנְיָן אָמַר ''מִדְּבַר שֶׁקֶר תִּרְחָק'' כְּמוֹ שֶׁנִּתְבָּאֵר בִּרְבִיעִי מִשְּׁבוּעוֹת וּבִכְלַל לָאו זֶה גַּם כֵּן אָמְרוּ אַזְהָרָה לִמְסַפֵּר לָשׁוֹן הָרַע וְהַמְקַבְּלוֹ וּמֵעִיד עֵדוּת שֶׁקֶר כְּמוֹ שֶּׁהִתְבָּאֵר בְּמַכּוֹת:
